Striking Gold

Relentless Beats brought the desert to life once again for Gold Rush Festival AZ 2026, themed "Midnight Riders" and held at Rawhide Western Town and Event Center in Chandler, AZ on September 11 and 12. Now in its ninth year, Gold Rush has cemented itself as one of Arizona's premier electronic music festivals, and this edition did not disappoint.
I knew Gold Rush AZ was a big deal but still, I wasn’t ready for the sheer amount of detail put into everything here. Every nook and cranny had something happening. After entering, you are greeted with a wide open plain surrounding the main stage. The VIP lounges had free Black Jack tables (for learning purposes only of course). Just beyond the main stage visitors walk under the glowing Neon Gold Rush sign and travel back to a full western town. Surprisingly enough, this town was big enough for the two of us and more. Dude Wipes hosted a mini-stage set just inside the speakeasy port-a-potty entryway. Red Bull had an indoor saloon stage. There was even a full restaurant with drink menus and sushi although, I was just there for the free AC. The point is, you needed two days for this festival because it was too fun getting lost.

The two-day event drew thousands of EDM fans from across the Southwest for a lineup that delivered at every level. Friday was headlined by Alesso and deadmau5, with support from Green Velvet, Sullivan King, AC Slater, MitiS, Boogie T, CID, and Kaivon among others. Saturday handed the reins to GRiZ and Martin Garrix, flanked by Deathpact, Ray Volpe, Valentino Khan, Delta Heavy, DJ Pauly D, Surf Mesa, Lady Faith, and more.
Beyond the headliners, Gold Rush continued its tradition of championing Arizona's local scene, spotlighting homegrown talent including Airrica, Broken Hill, Zoey808, DØMINA, Rossy, and several others across both days.

The Rawhide venue added its signature Western backdrop to the festival atmosphere, blending desert grit with festival energy in a way that's uniquely Phoenix. Whether you were there for the main stage spectacle or discovering a new favorite in the crowd, Gold Rush 2026 reminded everyone why the Arizona EDM community keeps showing up year after year.
